50 new positions for research and administrative staff have been published by the Iberian Energy Storage Research Centre (CIIAE)

The Iberian Centre for Research in Energy Storage (CIIAE) aims to be a centre of excellence in research, development and application of energy storage and hydrogen technologies to facilitate the integration of renewable energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Research will cover lab and modelling work at various scales and Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), as well as including innovative pilot plants. CIIAE provides a stimulating research environment to work on some of today’s most pressing energy, environmental and societal challenges. Candidates will benefit from large network including research centres and companies in the Iberic peninsula and abroad. CIIAE is the most important jointly investment in energy research  of Spain and Portugal at the moment (initial funding of more than 100 Million €).

CIIAE is being built in the beautiful city of Cáceres, a Unesco heritage city located close to the Portuguese border (100 km). In this context, CIIAE is recruiting researchers with talent and passion in the coming weeks and months to perform lab and modelling work at various scales and TRLs. And CIIAE is creating  research groups in topics such as hydrogen electrolysis, hydrogen storage, thermal CO2 reduction, electrochemical CO2 reduction, and LCA, hiring group leaders (offering a postdoc and PhD student as a starting package). Also, some of the jobs can offer long-term prospects, which would be the case for group leaders. Specifications for recruitment can be found in this document.  Overall, CIIAE is recruiting around 125 research staff including seniors, postdocs, and PhD students, in the next months.
